Every Salsgiver Fiber customer gets a power supply with a backup battery that maintains your VoIP phone connectivity for approximately 8 hours during extended power outages. The power supply is plugged into an ac outlet in your home and powers the Fiber Optic conversion box mounted on the outside of your home. If you loose power to your home, the back up battery automatically provides power to the fiber optic conversion box and will maintain your VoIP phone connectivity for approximately 8 hours (less time when sending or receiving Internet data).
